Oh What A Friend

Youth Retreat (13+)

Have you ever felt like no one truly understood what you were going through? Do you wish you had a friend you could really trust? Have friends let you down or disappointed you? Life is a collection of moments of joy as well as of sadness, heartache, and confusion, and it’s in these moments that the human heart yearns the most for the comfort, understanding, sympathy, and guidance that a true friend can provide. The good news is that there is a Friend in whom we can find all this and so much more! Join us for a fun and spiritually enriching retreat and make new friends or reconnect with old ones while you discover, or rediscover, the best Friend you could ever have.

Please note that youth ages 13-17 will require a chaperone that is 21 years or older. The youth retreat will be held at the GC Education Center located at 5248 Hollins Rd., Roanoke, VA 24019

Registration

Payment is required by December 9, 2025, otherwise you will be responsible for your own lodging, food, and transportation. Payment may be made via cash, PayPal, or Zelle. For online playments, please include your full name in the memo and specify that the payment is for "Youth Retreat 2025".

Payment

The cost for this retreat includes food, lodging, and the program itself. Lodging is available in the GC Education Center building and the parsonage, but please keep in mind that space is limited, so be sure to register as soon as possible. However, if we run out of space, do not worry! We will arrange another place for you to stay. You may also make your own arrangements in where to stay if you prefer. Please select the registration option that best fits your needs.

Registration Options
Full Package - $150/person for all 6 days (lodging + meals), limited availability.
Full Event - $90/person all 6 days, meals only.
Weekend Only - $40/person Fri-Sun, meals only. No lodging provided for weekend participants.
Saturday Only - No charge
Per meal - $7/person

Payment is required by December 9, 2025. Payment may be made via PayPal, Zelle, or in-person (cash). Unpaid registrations will be dropped unless the payment method selected below is cash. For online payments, please include your full name in the memo and specify that the payment is for the "Youth Retreat 2025".


Payment via PayPal or Zelle may be sent to treasurer@roanokesdarm.org. If you change your mind and would rather pay in-person (cash), please let us know before December 9, 2025, so we know that you're still planning to attend.
